How to Use the Guide

Downloading
The guide is based on interactive maps of Chester which take some time to download the first time they are used. The large scale map has been split into six sections to speed downloading. Unfortunately at certain times of day, congestion on the current service provider's server can make these times excessive. In use however, once the maps are stored in your computer, switching between maps is quite fast. IT'S WORTH THE WAIT.

Finding Your Way
Click on the buttons on the left to find the places you are looking for. Double clicking scrolls the map to bring the target location to the centre of the screen. (Automatic scrolling is not available in search mode since more than one target may be on screen). Clicking on the markers on the map will give you more information about that location.
